RiverScape 2016 – Registration Now Open

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Try Broomball event.

Now you can get the ultimate broomball experience under the lights at the outdoor ice rink in downtown Dayton.  The regular season is 6 games starting January 4, 2016. Games are on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:00, 6:30, 7:00 and 7:30. Teams will play one game per week. The league schedule will be published one week prior to the start of the season.  Playoff games will take place on Monday, Feb 22nd.  We will also be having a Captain’s Meeting in December to discuss minor league and rule changes.  Once we have all the teams registered, captains will be contacted.

CANCELLATIONS: In case of cancellations due to weather, games may be rescheduled on Wednesday, February 24th and Monday, February 29th. DBA will not cancel games due to weather unless Riverscape decides to close the rink. If RiverScape is open, games will be played!  Please DO NOT call RiverScape or MetroParks to check weather conditions.  Please check the DBA website, Facebook page, or check with your captain.  Automated voice and text messages will be sent to your captain once the DBA learns of any closing.

RiverScape Broomball League 2016

We have had a number of inquires about the RiverScape League.  We will be having the league again this coming Winter.  We will be opening up registration after the Try Broomball event on November 29.  So get your team together now and get ready to play some broomball.  The Try Broomball event would be great for new team members that have never played broomball.  It will give them an opportunity to give it a try before league play starts in January.

The RiverScape Broomball League 2016 will be on Monday and Wednesday evenings starting Monday, January 4 and going through Monday, February 22.  All games will be scheduled between 6 and 8 PM on both nights.  New this year, we will be having a Captain’s Meeting prior to the season opener.  This will give us an opportunity to meet with captains and review changes for the upcoming season.  More information on the Captain’s Meeting will be sent to captains.

We look forward to another great season and seeing everyone back on the ice.
